Sparta will wrestle Weston/Ithaca for the second time in six days tonight. The only difference is this time they will do it on Weston/Ithaca’s home mat. The Spartans (6-0, 1-0 MVC) will look to finish 2011 at 7-0 in duals before wrestling in Harrisonville, MO and at Badger State in Madison to finish up the calendar year.
Not much can be said about tonight’s dual that wasn’t already said when these two teams met on Saturday. Sparta won that meeting 44-27 on the backs of four pins, two forfeits and a technical fall. Results from Saturday’s dual are below…

Matches at 126 and 152 pounds look to be the bouts of the night. At 126, Tristan Zurfluh lost a close 12-10 decision to Nick Bennett while at 152 pounds, Toby Mosley edged out Austin Clary 8-5. Bennett got some payback for Zurfluh’s dual-deciding 2-1 victory last year in Sparta. Mosley will be looking to make it three in a row against Clary after defeating him 5-1 in Sparta last year and then beating him again last week.
Tonight’s dual will be broadcast on the radio and online at Classic Rock 94.5 out of Tomah with Dale Stafslein and Bill Tourdot on the call. Start time will be around 715pm for the pre-game with the match slated to start at 730pm. The broadcast should also be available online at http://
Similiar result with a little different line up. Sparta won 44-25. Tristan had a huge turn around and dominated for a 12-1 major decisions. The whole team wrestled with a lot more energy and effort. Great win Spartans!!
