Dennis L. Rhodaback, 51, of Sparta died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, MN. He was born on June 2, 1955 to Clarence & Harriet (Blount) Rhodaback. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School in 1974.

Dennis was the varsity 145 lb. wrestler and a Sectional qualifier in 1974. Dennis was a great team mate and had one speed…”full out.” Dennis gave you a 100% in every practice and 100% at every match. Although, Dennis didn’t have a lot of years of experience under his belt, if you didn’t bring your “A” game to wrestle, Dennis was going to beat you! I can testify that Dennis beat quite a few opponents who had much more mat experience but simply lacked his resolve. Dennis twin brother David was Sparta’s heavyweight in the 1974 season.
