While it’s not out of the question, it will be a very tough task for the Spartans to win the Harrisonville Christmas tournament. With 595.5 points, the Spartas currently occupy third place. That score puts them 150 points back of leader Kirksville (749.5) and 104 points back of second place Seneca (699.5). However, they hold a comfortable 88 point lead over fourth place Deer Creek (507.5). Individually, the Spartans are running into some stiffer competition, but a number of Spartans still boast some impressive records through six rounds. Toby Mosley, Tom Tourdot, Jordan Stanek and Matt Tourdot are all at 6-0 on the weekend with the exception of Tom Tourdot who is currently 5-0. Brandon Brueggen, Adam Weidl and Steven Stevenson all have only one loss. Bryce Nowaczyk (3-3), Nick Winchel (4-2), Derek VonRuden (4-2), Logan Denasha (4-2), Nick Anderson (2-3) and Morgan Leis (3-2) all are still capable of finishing in the top half of the 37 team tournament.
