The varsity wrestling team is competing at the Ellsworth Invitational Tournament today updates through the first 4 and 5 rounds are included below. (Derek is shooting a wedding today and I was at Richland Center so we are a little late with updates)
To begin with the middle school dual team went to Neillsville and dominated competition there coming away with the Championship in convincing fashion. Results were as follows:
Sparta 61, Cadott 6; Sparta 53, Marshfield 6; Sparta 44, DC Everest 12; and in the Championship match Sparta 64, Westby 3.
At Richland Center 26 wrestlers competed very well in a tournament with 16 other middle schools. A lot of experience was gained and the wrestlers enjoyed trying out some new moves with great success.
