Wrestling in the 92/93 (birth year) age division at 130 pounds, Spartan 8th grader Morgan Leis wrestled his way to the state title Sunday at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI. Leis shut down Waupaca’s Brandon Palmer 4-0 in the finals to bring home Sparta’s only medal on the day.
Below are some images from the tournament shortly after Leis won his title. Congratulation to Morgan on his accomplishment this weekend. Also, Spartan senior Jenna Ahnen will wrestle NEXT weekend in Michigan at the United States Girls Wrestling Association National Championships.
