The Spartans sent four wrestlers to the semifinals while tallying enough points to sit in fourth place overall as a team. Derek McDonald, Derrick Johnson, Michael Jacobsen and Kevin Schmitz all won their first two matches to advance to the semifinals. Each wrestler can do no worse than 4th place.
Mukwonago holds a half point lead over Pewaukee for the team lead with a score of 85.5. Sitting in third place is Hartford with 68.5 points and Sparta is five points back at 63.5 points. Sparta also sits fourth in the tournament in total pins with 10. Mukwonago leads the way with 12. Kevin Schmitz has two of those pins for Sparta.
