In one of the most impressive performances by a Spartan team at the Reedsburg duals in memory, the Sparta wrestling team picked up five dual victories and no team came within 23 points of the Spartans as they improved their dual record to 6-0 on the season.
Sparta got off on the right foot by picking up 11 pins in a 79-0 victory over Woodbuy, MN. Next, the Spartans faced Westby and defeated the Norseman 52-21. In the third round, the Spartans had a bye before facing Monroe who they defeated 60-16. Next up for Sparta was Lancaster who the Spartans handled easily 46-23. In the final match of the day the Spartans fell behind 0-12 early but ripped off 68 unanswered points to dominate Oregon 68-12.

The Spartans next face Tomah this Thursday in a matchup of what could determine the conference championship. Both Sparta and Tomah boast experienced lineups. The match is slated for a 730 start time at Sparta High School.
