It’s the final MVC dual of the season and the Spartans look to win the conference title outright by going into Tomah and defeating the Timberwolves tonight. The Spartans are guaranteed to be co-champs at the very least, but who wants to be co-champs when you can be outright champs? The Spartans will look to win their seventh MVC title and first since the 2010-11 season.
If you can’t make it to Tomah, we have you covered. Below are two live streams of tonight’s dual. One will be a mat side angle while the other will be your classic overhead shot. The internet connection won’t be as strong as it is in Sparta as we have to operate of a mobile unit due to Tomah not allowing us to use their wireless network, but we don’t anticipate any issues with the stream. If there are issues, please check the comments at the bottom of this page or the Spartan wrestling facebook page for updates.
Also, big thanks to Mike Montgomery for handling this. I can’t say enough how nice it has been to watch the team wrestle from my arctic outpost in Duluth and for the many people who can’t make it out of their house due to injury or other reasons or for relatives living across the country. The original goal of Spartanwrestling.com was to build an online community for people interested in the program and to bring news of how the team is doing to people everywhere and I think we are taking a huge step forward with the live streaming in doing that. And none of this would be possible without Mike Montgomery, Sparta Schools Technology Director Nick Rowlett and many others. So if you ever watch a live stream and then see these people, thank them.
