Sorry for the late update. Sparta took 5th at the Freedom Irish Invitational over the weekend. Ashwaubenon ran away with the team title tallying 257.5 points but 2nd through 5th place were only separated by 30 points.
Mike Jacobsen was Sparta’s only champion on the day. Jacobsen won his finals match by pin in 5:02 over Josh Hansen of Denmark. Derrick Johnson also made it to the finals but fell hard to Jordan Kust 13-0. For full team results check below:

Kevin Schmitz and Trevor Hutson often switch back and forth depending on the tournament and the dual so those two wrestlers are interchangeable at 215 and 285. Some of the middle weights also vary by dual and competition so while this is an up-to-date list it is not set in stone for wrestlers and their weights.
Sparta next wrestles Thursday at La Crosse Aquinas. JV action starts at 6:15pm while the Varsity takes the mat at 7:30. On Saturday, Sparta hosts the Spartan Invitational. Wrestling begins there at 10am and up-to-the-minute results will be available on Trackwrestling.com and full results will be added here at the end of the day.
