Seven Spartans have advanced to the Wisconsin Wrestling Challenge Series Finals in Wausau, Wisc. after placing in the top three at the Richland Center qualifier this past weekend. The finals in Wausau will consist of the top three finishers from eight regions. They will combine to form a 24-wrestler bracket to determine who is the WWCS champion.
Those Spartans moving onto compete in Wausau are Kyle Erickson, Collin Gartner, Mathias Krein, Jose Soto, Ashley Dahl, James Gann and Noah Benish. Krein, Dahl and Gann advanced out of Richland Center as champions while Benish advanced to the championship match, but placed second. All others placed third.
