Below are the full individual results from Sparta’s tough weekend at the Kasson-Mantorville Swalla Duals. The Spartans opened action against the 19th ranked team in the country in Kasson-Mantorville and it was not an easy one. Only Dylan Winchel and Kyle Burkhalter escaped the dual with victories. The other two matches could have both gone the Spartans way if it were not for more injuries and sickness that continued to keep heavyweight Joseph Benish out of the lineup along with Daniel Dawley. Pin machine Dawley has won over 80% of his matches this year and in the process has generated a ton of team points with his knack for the pin so the Spartans definitely missed him in close duals against Centennial and Lewiston-Altura-Rushford-Peterson.
In the dual against LARP, Kyle Burkhalter scored an impressive1 12-2 victory over the Minnesota Class AA 4th ranked Greg Johnson. Let’s see how everyone else did on the day…
