Members of the Spartan JV and varsity reserve battled to a 14th place finish out of 18 teams at the Ithaca-Weston Invitational this past weekend. Leading the way for the Spartans was Ashley Dahl who finished in sixth place. Dahl went 3-2 on the day. At 113 pounds, Seth Boland went 2-3 to finish 7th with pins in both his victories.
Viroqua won the tournament with 422.5 points followed by Cashton with 417 points. In third was La Crosse Logan with 321 points. Sparta finished with 166.5 points, which put them ahead of varsity teams from River Ridge/Cassville, Pecatonica/Argyle, De Soto and Cambridge.
