Ahnen 2nd at Nationals

Sparta’s Jenna Ahnen became the first Spartan wrestler to wrestle for a national championship Sunday as she wrestled her way to the championship match at 134 pounds before falling to Kissimmee, Florida’s Breisja Gallo 6-1.  The 2nd place achievement by Ahnen also makes her the first All-American in Spartan wrestling history.

Ahnen was by far the highest placing wrestler from Wisconsin at the invitational.  There were five total with the second highest placing wrestler being Amber Miracle of Berlin, WI who took sixth place at 122 pounds.

Congratulations to Jenna on a great tournament!
