The Spartans concluded the regular season in style this past Thursday evening with a 64-15 destruction of La Crosse Logan that saw 10 Spartans earn victories by pin and another by major decision. The Spartans won their first nine matches–eight by pin–to jump out to a 52-0 lead. Of the Spartans’ eight pins, six were in the first period. Hayden Krein and Austin Zwiefel picked up their pins in 28 and 42 seconds respectively.

The dual concludes the Spartan’s MVC season where they will finish third with a 4-2 record in conference. Finishing third in the MVC may not have been what the Spartans wanted, but they finished the season strong with a nearly complete lineup and looked poised and ready for postseason wrestling.
